Baseball has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Once my playing days were over, umpiring kept me in the game. Going to Harry Wendelstedt Umpire School catapulted my career beyond belief. 

I have spent nine years instructing at the Harry Wendelstedt Umpire School. My passion for the profession runs deep and enjoy passing along the knowledge I have to other aspiring umpires. 

I attended The Harry Wendelstedt Umpire School right out of college and have been working professional baseball since then. I was fortunate enough to have Hunter hire me on to staff in 2012. I can say, without a doubt, I love this place! It's changed my life by giving me my dream job and introducing me to some of my best friends. I get to continually learn from the best in Major League Baseball annually while also teaching the next generation. When it comes to umpiring, our school is the best on the planet, and I know you'll enjoy and love the experience as much as I do.

After going to school in 2011, I’ve been on staff since 2012. Being part of the Wendelstedt family has been a remarkable experience. Being able to teach and give back to the umpiring profession is very special to me. The lifelong friendships I’ve made with the staff and students is something I wouldn’t trade. 

I take pride being an instructor at Wendelstedt Umpire School, because I know that our students get the best instruction. Our heritage as the longest running, and by far most successful institution of our kind not only gives me pride, but a sense of obligation to continue that level of excellence.

Umpire school is a place where people from all backgrounds, personally and career based, come together and learn how to umpire. I enjoy seeing people with many years of experience and those with no years of experience uniting and umpiring together, as one crew. 

Attending The Harry Wendelstedt Umpire School has turned out to be one of the most formative decisions of my life. As a student, it provided me the opportunity to learn from some of the best Major League umpires day in and day out and develop lifelong relationships with some of my fellow classmates. Since being hired on staff in 2016, I have had the privilege of giving back to the profession and school that has meant so much to me. I look forward to doing this as long as I can! I love this school and the people that are associated with it, and I hope you take the step to experience it yourself!

Instructing at Harry Wendelstedt Umpire School has been a true blessing. It is an honor to put on the Red Coat every day and teach with the top minds of Major League and Minor League Umpires. But the greatest satisfaction of all comes from seeing students the first week of school evolve into the next group of future Major League Umpires. 

The opportunities that this school has given to me are unmatched. To be an umpire in professional baseball and even more so to instruct at Wendelstedt are two of my biggest dreams that could not have been accomplished without this school. Every instructor here was once a student at this school, passionate and eager to get in to professional baseball, and now we are here to pass our knowledge on to you, so you can be the best umpire you can be. 

I am extremely fortunate to be able to teach at the Harry Wendelstedt Professional Umpire School. It is an honor to work alongside our amazing Major League, Triple-A and Double-A umpires. While at umpire school, I am a part of the field staff. As a member of the field staff, we assist students with on-field demonstrations, drills, control games, live innings and cage work.

I was a part of the 2019 class and was hired as an instructor in 2020. The Wendelstedt umpire school is a special place rich with history and tradition. This school has opened up an infinite number of opportunities for me and continues to help me grow not only as an umpire, but also as a person. There’s no other place I’d want to go to learn to be an umpire. One of the most exciting times of the year is January. It is truly a blessing to be able to come to Ormond Beach and be a part of the most prestigious umpire school in the world.

It’s an honor to be on staff at Wendelstedt Umpire School. Seeing students grow as umpires each and everyday is probably the best part. While at school I serve on the field staff. After going to umpire school, both in 2018 and 2019. Being on staff as of 2022 is a huge opportunity - I learned that being an umpire is about more than just what you do during the game. Being an umpire is about being part of a family, and the valuable lessons learned both on and off the field. I wouldn’t trade my umpiring experience for anything, and I look forward to teaching the new wave of professional umpires at Wendelstedt.

It is an honor to be able to say that I am an instructor at Harry Wendelstedt Umpire School. After attending school as a student in 2020 I immediately had an interest in joining the staff. It isgreat  to be able to instruct alongside umpires of all minor league classifications and even those in the big leagues in an attempt to develop the next wave of professional umpires.
