Don’t currently have the time or financial commitment for our full, extended program? Don’t worry—our Amateur Umpire Course still offer you an opportunity to engage in intensive umpire training, whether it be for self-improvement or acceleration in the amateur umpire system.
While these students will not be eligible for placement in any other affiliated, professional leagues, they may be eligible for positions in independent professional leagues depending on those leagues’ requirements. Our school also provides recommendations to successful Amateur Umpire Course graduates for placement in other amateur leagues and levels, based on their skills and abilities exhibited during their time in the course. We have two Amateur Umpire Courses to choose from each year, so take a look below and decide which program best suits your needs and experience level.
MLB Advantage Course
January 2 - January 12, 2025
Daytona Beach, FL
The MLB Advantage Course is designed for umpires looking to excel at a MLB One Day Camp. Considering a potential umpire only gets a few hours in front of MLB supervisors, a week's worth of professional training can be the difference in receiving a job in professional baseball or merely being another face in the crowd. Every aspect of the MLB Camp will be covered in great detail during your week stay at Wendelstedt Umpire School. At the end of the course, each student will receive an exit evaluation on what to work on to improve selection chances at MLB One Day Camp. Take this opportunity to catapult your career to the next level!
