Wendelstedt Umpire School
Enters Agreement with the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball  The Wendelstedt Umpire School has become the exclusive provider of umpire education for the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. This is just another league that looks to our program to provide the very best education for its umpires.   Harry and Hunter Wendelstedt made history on August 10, 1998 by becoming the first and only father and son combination to umpire a Major League game together. Wendelstedt Well Represented at Mid-Summer Classic In usual form, the Wendelstedt School remains the face of both Minor League and Major League Baseball Special Events. 5 of the 6 umpires selected for the MLB All-Star Game are Wendelstedt Graduates, including 3 instructors. Meanwhile, Wendelstedt School graduates also dominated positions in All-Star Games throughout the Minor Leagues! Wendelstedt Instructors Continue to Impress All seven of our AAA instructors were invited to attend the Arizona Fall League and Major League Spring Training. Two of them, Cory Blaser and Dan Bellino, were the only two MiLB umpires to be added to the MLB fill-in roster for 2009. Our graduates continue to be the most successful umpires at all levels of baseball. No other program can boast these numbers! New Clinic Locations Determined The Wendelstedt Umpire School has reinstituted its local clinic circuit. Wendelstedt Makes Another Exclusive Agreement  Our program will now be exclusively providing umpires for the Boise Independent League. This adds to the extensive list of independent leagues that the Wendelstedt Umpire School is responsible for providing umpires for placement.
