The 2009 World Series Crew a Who's Who of the Wendelstedt Umpire School

The World Series crew for this year is a clear representation of the Wendelstedt Umpire School's influence in both the Minor and Major Leagues. 5 of the 6 umpires are former Wendelstedt graduates, and 4 of the 6, Wendelstedt instructors.
This is just one more special event dominated by Wendelstedt Umpire School graduates and instructors. This year's MLB All-Star Game was also filled with a predominately Wendelstedt crew. In similar fashion, 5 of the 6 umpire were former Wendelstedt graduates, three of them Wendelstedt instructors.
And as a continuing trend, Wendelstedt graduates continue to rank highest in leagues all over Minor League Baseball as well. They fill the roster positions of special events and playoffs all over professional baseball, and are always the first to be selected for fill-in positions in Major League Baseball. With only two additional numbers given to AAA umpires this season, two of our instructors, Cory Blaser and Dan Bellino, were the hard working umpires to receive them.
Our students and instructors continue to lead the pack when it comes to performance on the field.
